Achievements Guide — All 50 Steam Achievements and How to Get Them

Every achievement in RuneScape: Dragonwilds — from Swift Pick to Regicide — with requirements, rarity and the fastest routes to the tricky ones.

Dragonwilds tracks 50 achievements on its Steam log — a mix of tutorial milestones, mechanic trick shots, region quest lines, boss kills and the level-99 grind. Most unlock naturally; a handful hide behind specific spell combos that deserve warning. This guide walks the full list by family, with the fast routes to the tricky entries.

Fifty achievements, one log — and a few trick shots nobody stumbles into by accident.

The tutorial milestones (unmissable)

The opening achievements track the game's first hours — nearly everyone unlocks these:

  • Swift Pick — mine an ore.
  • One Misthalin Star — cook a food item.
  • Chop Chop — chop down a tree.
  • Stab, Slash, Crush! — construct a weapon.
  • Crafting to Your Own Rune — craft a rune.
  • Sheltered — build a base and claim a bed.

If you've read the getting started guide, you've already done all six before your first dragon sighting.

The mechanic trick shots (the real achievements)

This family is where completionists sweat — each requires a specific spell interaction, and several are famously rare (their global percentages are tiny):

  • Not today! — parry an attack. Timing lesson: the parry window is generous once you've watched an attack twice.
  • Singed! — hit an enemy with fire magic.
  • Strike True — hit an enemy with a Trick Shot.
  • Honed Edge — enchant a weapon (the Mystic Forge's first visit pays).
  • I'll Just Watch — have a confused enemy defeat another enemy. Cast Confuse in any two-enemy pack and spectate politely.
  • Master Huntsman — hit an enemy trapped in a Snare with an enhanced arrow. The ranger-mage combo shot: root, then loose.
  • It's all Mine! — break 4 ore deposits with one Rocksplosion. Find a clustered node field — the desert's and Ghornfell's vein clusters are built for it.
  • You Axed for It — cut down 3 trees with one Axtral Projection. Same trick, forest edition: dense treelines, one cast.
  • Mend it like... — repair 3 items with one Magical Mending. Enter a fight with three damaged equipment slots; the AoE mend closes them together.
  • Eye can see my house from here! — build while using Eye of Oculus. The build-mode flight spell; place anything mid-vision.
  • No Runefunds! — cast Runes to Rune Essence. The economy's return valve, unlocked by being over-stocked.
  • Gotta Patch 'Em All — harvest 24 plots with a single Uproot. The 1.0 farming endgame: max plots, one cast.
  • Frenzied — cast Fishnado on a frenzied fishing spot. The rarest fishing entry; wait for a frenzy, then go to town.
  • Sharp and Shiny — have your weapon both magic-enchanted and whetstone-honed at once.
  • All Buffed Up — hold a food, infusion and potion buff simultaneously. Stack before any boss attempt and it lands itself.

The quest and region family

  • Helping around the farm — complete 3 secondary quests in Brynmoor.
  • Bark at the Moon — complete 3 secondary quests in Ghornfell.
  • Don't fear the Reaper — complete 3 secondary quests in Fellhollow.
  • Mages & Knights & Demons, oh my! — complete 3 secondary quests in Dowdun Reach.
  • Icthlarin's Bigger Helper — complete 3 secondary quests in Umbral Sands.

Each pairs perfectly with the side quests hub — three per region is a light evening each.

The boss and medal family

  • Dragon Slayer — defeat Velgar (guide).
  • Withering Heights — defeat Imaru (guide).
  • Black Knight's Fortress — defeat the Black Knight Titan (guide).
  • Scorching Sands — defeat Umbral Sands' boss.
  • Regicide — defeat Queen Kuldra. The 100% log's final wall (guide).
  • Medal Winner — your first gold medal; Medal Collector — gold on every course. The minigame completionist's track.

Plus the comedy entries nobody plans:

  • Doric's Fire Fried Chicken — kill a chicken with a fireball. Doric would like a word.
  • One/two Misthalin Stars family — cooking milestones, ending in Two Misthalin Stars (make an iconic meal).

The level-99 grind

The final family — the true RuneScape heritage:

  • Melee Master — Attack 99
  • Dionysius' Disciple — Magic 99
  • Thrill of the Hunt — Ranged 99
  • Everything is Oresome — Mining 99
  • Everything is Treemendous — Woodcutting 99
  • The School of Jewels — Artisan 99

No shortcuts: these are the long-game achievements that reward months of natural play. Train them the way the game intends — by doing everything, constantly. The skills guide explains why the portfolio approach wins anyway.

Completion order that works

  1. Natural play through the campaign — tutorial set, region quest sets, boss kills land on the way.
  2. Trick-shot cleanup — one session with Confuse, Snare+bow, Rocksplosion at a node cluster, and the mend trick.
  3. Medals and minigames — the course circuit.
  4. The 99s — the long road; play, don't grind.

Frequently asked questions

Are any achievements missable? No — the log is fully retroactive. Missed trick shots wait patiently.

What's the rarest achievement? Regicide — the Queen's head is the rarest trophy in the game, with only a sliver of players claiming it.

Do achievements have rewards beyond the log? Completion satisfaction, mostly — Dragonwilds keeps its rewards in the world, not the meta-shop. The log is the receipt.
