Fellhollow & Umbral Vaults Walkthrough — The Endgame Track

Complete routes for Kalistrakthen, Skekven, Vekchenven and the two Umbral Sands pyramid vaults — Dragonwilds' power 5–7 endgame dungeons.

The endgame vault track runs through two territories: Fellhollow's haunted lake country and the desert pyramids of the Umbral Sands. Five dungeons — power levels 5 through 7 — holding the recipes that finish a build and the guardians that test everything you've learned since Crasorak Kara. This is the complete route.

The endgame order

# Vault Power Location Signature threats
8 Kalistrakthen Kara 5 Emberwood Rat King, Vault Striker
9 Skekven Kara 5 Lake of Lost Souls (east) Skeletal hoplites, marauders, Vault Overlord
10 Vekchenven Kara 5 Lake of Lost Souls (west) Rotsworn necromancers, soulstone sentinels, dragon wolves, zogres
11 Vault (Mirrors) 7 Umbral Sands pyramid, north of Dunes of Uzzer Mirror guardians
12 Vault (Kalphite) 7 Umbral Sands pyramid, south of Manafem Plains Kalphite swarm guardians

Vault 8 — Kalistrakthen Kara (Emberwood)

The burning forest's vault is the endgame's warm-up and the Rat King's throne room:

  • Emberwood approaches matter. The forest's fire-themed wildlife overlaps the vault's exterior patrols; clear the approach before entering, or fight two wars at once.
  • The Rat King returns with a full court — his biggest swarm yet, in rooms designed to make surrounding you easy. Back-to-corner fighting, AoE rotations and Snare on the king himself.
  • The Vault Striker anchors the deep halls: fast, aggressive, and the first guardian whose combos punish greed harder than errors. Patience wins; DPS races lose.

Vault 9 — Skekven Kara (East of the Lake of Lost Souls)

The undead vault — Fellhollow's fortress-dungeon:

  • A disciplined garrison. Skeletal warriors, archers, and the skeletal hoplites and marauders — formations with shield pressure and ranged backline. This is the Black Knights' playbook with less flesh: break formations with Snare, kill archers first, fight in corridors.
  • The Vault Overlord returns at power 5 — every tell you learned in Crasorak, amplified. The arena has pillars; use them.
  • Fire is the cheat code. The whole roster burns; a fire-enchanted weapon or two turns the garrison into kindling. Full region tactics in the Fellhollow guide.

Vault 10 — Vekchenven Kara (West of the Lake of Lost Souls)

The hardest of the standard ten — the necromancer's vault:

  • Rotsworn necromancers raise what you kill. Kill priority is absolute: necromancers die first or nothing stays dead. Ranged and Snare earn their essence here.
  • Soulstone sentinels tank the necromancers' lines — heavy, patient constructs that punish melee commitments. Control them, circle them, don't duel them.
  • Dragon wolves and zogres patrol the wings — the region's apex wildlife supplementing the guardian roster. Pull everything; the vault's rooms are deliberately crowded.
  • Come loaded. Double food, full essence, control spells maximum. This vault is where endgame prep stops being optional.

The Umbral pyramids — Vault (Mirrors) and Vault (Kalphite)

The desert's twin pyramids are the game's final vault tier (power 7) and its most distinctive dungeons:

  • Vault (Mirrors), north of the Dunes of Uzzer — the puzzle vault. Mirror guardians duplicate and misdirect; the halls play tricks with reflection and light. The counter is systematic play: mark explored corridors, fight one guardian at a time, and trust your map over your eyes. Its chest and effigy pay the desert's best smithing lines.
  • Vault (Kalphite), south of the Manafem Plains — the swarm vault. The kalphite hive's guardians attack in numbers that make AoE damage a loadout requirement, not a preference. Sustain matters as much as damage: Magical Mending uptime decides this run.
  • Desert rules apply. Both pyramids assume the hydration discipline from the Umbral Sands guide — route by oasis, and enter rested.

What the endgame track pays

  • Skekven and Vekchenven hold the north's best armour and weapon recipes — the plates and blades that take a build to the Dragon Queen.
  • Kalistrakthen's payouts lean utility and the Emberwood's unique materials.
  • The pyramids hold the desert's endgame smithing and the region's most valuable effigy lessons — plus, for completionists, two of the continent's rarest lore scraps.

Clear all five and you've finished the vault track: every trap family mastered, every guardian grammar learned, and a build that makes the surface regions feel like the tutorial they were.

A note on wipe recovery

The endgame track will wipe you — the tier math guarantees it — so the recovery protocol is worth deciding before the first gravestone. The standard: respawn, re-equip from the grab-bag chest (the pre-packed loadout every base should keep), eat, and walk back with the fragment count or horn situation confirmed before entering. Deaths inside the pyramids deserve special respect — the desert crossing between your base and the door is the real attrition fight, and running it angry is how single deaths become double ones. Groups recover by re-establishing roles at the door, not inside: thirty seconds of who-tanks-who-controls at the entrance has saved more endgame runs than any gear upgrade on this page.

Frequently asked questions

Can the pyramids be done before Fellhollow? Technically discoverable, practically punished — power 7 guardians check endgame gear. Save them for after the lake vaults.

Are the lake vaults repeatable farms? Yes — vermin, chests and regional resources respawn on rotation; the lake pair is the endgame's best shard and material income.

Group or solo for Vekchenven? Either works, but this is the track's friendliest group vault: one player on necromancer duty transforms the run.
